Hammons Launches First Campaign Ads in Advance of Convention

Colorado Second Congressional District candidate Bill Hammons has launched his first paid advertising in the Boulder Daily Camera in advance of Saturday's Unity Party of Colorado convention in Boulder.

"These are just a few small ads paid for with recent contributions," says Hammons. "But rest assured that it is money well spent. The Camera's readership is firmly in the heart of the Second District, we're not blowing supporters' money on primary season TV advertising in a market where the vast majority of viewers don't even live in the District, and it's incremental steps like these on the part of Hammons for Congress which will continue to build momentum through Election Day. My campaign site received an average of 132 daily visitors over Easter weekend, not all of them through Google, and anyone who's watching my campaign and the Unity Party of America closely is seeing a natural progression."

About Bill Hammons

Bill Hammons graduated from New York University in 1997 with a degree in English and American literature -- not to mention graduated from Permian High School of Friday Night Lights fame in 1993 -- worked in management at Newsweek Magazine for seven years, and moved to Boulder to enjoy the stunning views and the great running trails. He is the sole proprietor of wrhammons.com, whose extensive and popular Guide to Boulder and Beyond covers a territory which bears an uncanny resemblance to Colorado 's 2nd Congressional District. His campaign site is www.bill-for-congress.us.

About the Unity Party of America

The Unity Party of America was founded on Nov. 4, 2004 (the day after the last presidential election) by Hammons and several others. This centrist national political party now covers 23 states -- latest state: Wisconsin -- has fielded multiple Congressional candidates in the 2008 election season, and will be holding its first convention in Boulder in August 2008. Its website is www.unityparty.us.
