Candidate Hammons Set to Begin Gathering Ballot Petition Signatures

Starting Friday, May 2nd, Colorado 2nd Congressional District Candidate Bill Hammons and his supporters will begin circulating petitions to place Hammons on November's ballot as the Unity Party candidate for the Second District.

"Our petitions were approved by the Colorado Secretary of State's office yesterday, and now we're set to gather the required 800 signatures from registered voters in the Second District before the June 17th deadline," says Hammons. "One of my supporters is offering a free ipod to whichever volunteer accrues the most valid signatures on my behalf, and I'm confident my start-up candidacy will clear the petition hurdle. I've just received my first candidate debate invitation, as well a first query from the Western Slope media, and everything seems to be coming together at exactly the right time."
