Hammons to Submit Petition Signatures on Monday
Unity Party 2nd Congressional District Candidate Bill Hammons
will be submitting over 1,200 voter signatures for his
petition drive to the Secretary of State's office on Monday,
June 16th at 11am, one day before the deadline. Eight hundred
valid voter signatures are required for Hammons to appear on
November's ballot next to the words "Unity Party."
"Monday will be a momentous day both for my candidacy and for
the Unity Party of America," says Hammons. "Whether my
petition drive meets the original deadline or will require a
curative period, it's virtually certain that I and the Unity
Party will both be appearing on November's ballot. With my
nomination, the Unity Party will be recognized as a qualified
political organization in the State of Colorado, will be able
to register Colorado voters with the party, and thus will be
well on the way to being a force in both Colorado and federal
politics. I hope and predict that our success here will
inspire Unity Party members in the other 22 states where we
have a presence.
"And I also hope that the local media will attend my visit to
the Secretary of State's office to provide the coverage this
event deserves."
