Candidate Hammons to Register as Unity Party Voter Number 1
|
Unity Party 2nd Congressional District candidate Bill Hammons
will register as the first official Unity Party voter in the State of
Colorado on Thursday, July 10th at 11am, at his local County Clerk and
Recorder's office (1750 33rd Street in Boulder). With Hammons'
successful petition onto the November ballot as a Unity Party
candidate, the Unity Party of America is now officially recognized by
the State of Colorado as a Qualified Political Organization, and thus
Colorado voters now have the option of registering with the Unity
Party.
"For the first time I can truly say we're making history here," says
Hammons. "The Unity Party is now more established in the
State of Colorado than the Reform Party, for one, and I would like
to think that we've captured the spirit of reform which once
inspired that predecessor organization.
"The Unity Party is about the future, however, and rest assured
that we'll be moving forward at an ever-faster pace. Plans for
voter registration drives are already being put into place, and
we aim to capture the commonsense center of the electorate
and otherwise make American politics a whole new ballgame."
