"A less determined third-party candidate might just blame the media
for taking part in an unconscious conspiracy of giving short shrift to
a candidate because he doesn't have the money and connections conferred
upon amateurs by a two-party system which hasn't been seriously
challenged in over a century, but I am far more determined than that.
I therefore call for door-to-door polls of voters in the 2nd District
conducted by non-partisan organizations willing to step up to their
civic duty. In this age of cell phones, a phone poll will miss an
entire generation of voters, and an Internet poll will miss another
generation. I have realized during my journeys through the 31 District
communities listed on my campaign site that only speaking with voters
on the doorsteps of their homes captures what's on their minds, and
knocking on their doors is the only way for pollsters to do the same."
