"As I told the audience and my two major opponents at the Northglenn-Thornton
Rotary Club debate on Tuesday, the Wall Street fiasco shows
that a lot can happen in less than four weeks," says Hammons. "The
media recently brought to my attention the fact that I've raised more
money than my Republican opponent in this race, and, what with
Tuesday's first real joust with my general election opponents and our
first televised confrontation on Friday, observers might look back
after Election Day and say that Hammons shouldn't have been
underestimated."
