Hammons Congratulates Congressman-elect Jared Polis on Victory

Boulder, Colo. -- Bill Hammons, Unity Party of America candidate for Colorado's 2nd Congressional District (Fact Sheet: http://bill-for-congress.us/hammons-fact-sheet.htm), congratulates Congressman-elect Jared Polis on his General Election victory.

"Congrats to Jared on his election as our newest Representative in the US House, and I wish him the best of luck in Washington," says former candidate Hammons. "I certainly hope Mr. Polis will work to practice what he preaches on everything from campaign finance to global warming.

"Rest assured that I am done with runs for public office until further notice. Starting tomorrow I will shift my focus as Unity Party Chairman to accruing 1,000 Unity Party-affiliated voters in Colorado, a goal which we're already well on our way to reaching with 179 more voters than we had when we started in July. With 1,000 voters, we'll achieve official Minor Party status in the state and be able to put our candidates and thus the voters' agenda of balanced budgets and environmentally responsible policies directly onto the ballots."
