W.R. Hammons to Offer Expertise on Literary Agents for Campaign Contributions
Bill Hammons (a.k.a. W.R. Hammons of WRHAMMONS.COM) will offer his expertise on literary agents in exchange for contributions to his Congressional campaign.
"Sundry individuals who have found my website of WRHAMMONS.COM -- which started with Bill's List of Literary Agents and Their Authors' Books -- are constantly emailing me questions about literary agents. I've often thought about charging for the sharing of the expertise acquired while constructing Bill's List, and now's the time to start charging.
"Therefore I'm encouraging aspiring American authors to visit my campaign site of www.bill-for-congress.us, tell themselves they support a Balanced Budget Amendment even if they don't, make a campaign contribution via PayPal, and email me with any literary-agent-related question they might have. I set no value on my Bill's List expertise; I simply ask aspiring authors to contribute an amount they feel appropriate for answers regarding the best agent or agents for their particular book. I will respond to all contribution-funded queries in a timely manner, the time and the manner both depending at least in part on the size of the contribution.
"Seeing as how I'm a self-published novelist, some might chalk this scheme up to 'Those who can't find a literary agent, teach.' I therefore encourage the media to point out my novel Alternity on Amazon.com; it could use the sales."
